My story begins with the wedding... that big, happiest, day of every
couple. I was pretty secure in what I was doing about that whole
organization thing and I really knew what I want. I don't know if there is
future newlyweds among you, but organizing a wedding can be very
stressful for a groom and of course a bride. You probably want a perfect
day, perfect weather, perfect everything, but you know what, you will
have a a perfect time no matter what, because you are marrying someone
you love.
Every country in the world has its own customs when it comes to weddings, but I think most of the newlyweds are looking to save money when organizing the big day.
So, I am gonna give you a few tips:
First, don't save money in arranging a photographer: Photos are for life, and it is important for them to be perfect.
Secondly, try to save money when buying a wedding dress. Renting a wedding dress is too much expensive in Croatia. Prices are like more than $800 for just renting. I bought one online, from China, and I made the best decision ever. If you want to do the same, make sure that the website is trusted and that they really offer what you can see on the page. My dress was slightly revised, but in the end it was perfect for me, and I saved around $400.
Thirdly, you can try to save money on the things you can do by yourself for example invitations and corsages which are not to hard to make. You just have to find the one you like, buy some material and you need to have time for doing it. I made mine myself and I think they were just perfect.
Fourthly, in Croatia, ordering a cake is always more expensive in big cities than in small towns so you can order yours from a small town. You can save more than $500 for cakes.
Last, but maybe most important, is the restaurant were you are going to celebrate your wedding day. I know that some of you would like to have big fancy restaurant, but you have to know that a bit of light efects and flowers can make any restaurant a place from a dream. Also, restaurants in a big cities are more expensive than those in small towns which can be very beatiful and can have even better food.
I made menus for the tables, numbers of the tables and a list of the guests myself. It was fun making it and I saved some money. If you need some tips of how to do those things you can comment and I will be happy to help.
I know that weddings are not cheap and I am sure that you want to have a perfect day, but also you want to spend less money so I hope that those tips were a bit helpful.
